On this day in 1985, the Red, White and Blue administration of Ronald Reagan illegally arranged for 96 anti-tank missiles to be sent to Iran.

What was Iran Contra?

For starters, it was high treason.

What happened?

The US illegally sold arms to Iran and then used the profits to illegally fund terrorists in Nicaragua in an attempt to undermine the government of that country.

And they traded guns for drugs too (though that part was left out of mainstream news reporting.)

The Arkansas branch of this criminal enterprise (Mena) put Bill Clinton on the map.

Note what fantastic and arrogant liars Oliver North and company are.

The short version:

It used to be a “conspiracy theory.”

During and after World War II, Nazis moved billions of dollars to South America where they set up shop in places like Brazil, Argentina and Chile.

Here’s what they did in Chile.

This group was empowered in the 1970s after the Nixon-Kissinger-CIA destruction of the Chilean democracy. Their leadership participated in the coup and may have been involved in murdering citizens.

A fraud that led to war

On this day in 1898, the USS Maine blew up in Havana harbor.

No one reading this is old enough to remember the “Remember the Maine” campaign.

It started with a spectacular explosion in Havana harbor and the sinking of the USS Maine.

It was blamed on “bad guys” who the US conveniently already had detailed plans of attacking.

The real story only came out 90 years later and it probably wasn’t in your school history book.

The parallels with 9/11 are chilling.

Never saw a war they didn’t like

Jimmy Dore reviews MSNBCs recent attempted take down of anti-war presidential candidate Tulsi Gabbert.

All war, all the time.

And it’s fine with ALL the news networks: MSNBC, FOX, CNN, NPR etc.

Here “Morning Joe” goes four against one to try to undermine the credibility of the only presidential candidate unambiguously against the war.

Could it be because she’s the only candidate who is a veteran?

The US news media motto should be: Support the Vets – unless they’re against war

The French started using it first after WW I.

At first the Brits thought it was too savage.

Then they saw the US use it against labor protestors and veterans in the 1920s and 30s and decided it was a good thing.

Now it’s used regularly – and mindlessly – over the world to disrupt lawful demonstrations including in the good old USA.

For the brief time he worked for them, MSNBC paid Jesse Ventura to NOT talk about war.

He signed a contract and then the Iraq War came along and they told him to shut up – and fired him and Phi Donahue too.

Unfortunately, they owned him and the contract forbid him from appearing on any other press outlet for three years.

He was literally paid millions as was Phil Donahue.

That’s how important war is to these animals. They will pay their most popular hosts millions to stay off the air and not speak the truth.

“Strategy of tension”

The facts are still open.

The US had a major terrorist incident on 9/11 and it’s still not clear who was behind it.

One thing is clear: governments are in the terror business.

On 9/11:

* The logistics were impossible
